The hotel is located in Geleen, near the A67 and the A2. This gives it a good connection to Maastricht and Maastricht Airport. The hotel is easy to be reached by car. Bastion Hotel Geleen is situated near the interesting city of Geleen and within 5 kilometers guests can reach the nice city Sittard.

Directions

The hotel is situated off the A76 close to the centre of Geleen. The hotel offers free parking for its guests. The hotel is conveniently situated for the DSM. Maastricht/Aachen Airport is just 15 minutes from the hotel by car.

By car:
From Aachen/Heerlen: Take the A76-E314 towards Antwerp. Leave the motorway at junction Geleen/ Beek, junction 2. Turn right at the traffic lights. Continue along this road for 300 metres; the hotel is on the right.

From Eindhoven/Amsterdam/ Rotterdam/Maastricht: Take the A2 towards Maastricht. Follow the signs to Heerlen/ Aachen. Leave the motorway at junction Beek, junction 2. Turn left at the traffic lights, across the viaduct. Continue along this road for 300 metres; the hotel is to the right.

By public transport:
From het Central Station Heerlen take the train to Geleen-Oost. Then take the train taxi to the hotel.

To Maastricht:
From the hotel take the train taxi to station Lutherade, then take the train to Maastricht. The journey takes about 45 minutes.

Once again we had a great stay at your hotel in Geleen. After your message to me (re. my last stay at this hotel survey) I phoned the hotel and requested that the heating was put on in our room and that we had a ground floor room, when we arrived our ground floor room was really warm and cosy which was lovely as my wife had not been very well. We dined in the hotel and as usual had a lovely, well cooked meal. Debbie, is delightful and very warm and welcoming she is a real credit to your hotel. When we arrived back in the UK the next day we realised that we had left our cool-box ice packs in the refrigerator in the room. I rang the hotel and they were just about to e-mail us to tell us this. We asked that the hotel could keep them and on our next stay (in the New Year) we would collect them which they said they would. We regularly stay at this hotel on our way to Nuremberg, Germany and back as it is a good halfway house for a stop-over. Thank you once again.

Er is helemaal geen verwijzing naar de ingang van het hotel.
Vooral heel lastig als je uit het noorden komt.

We have stayed at The Bastion Hotel in Geleen 3 times this year and will be returning to stay again in December on the way back to the UK. It is a good halfway house for us to stay on tour way to the ferry at Dunkirk from Nuremberg in Germany and vice versa when we come over from the UK. The staff at your hotel are always very welcoming and pleasant and we enjoy eating in your restaurant. However, on this occasion on entering our room (which was on the top floor at the very end of the building on an outside wall ) we found it very cold, we turned the heating up in the room and eventually, after a while, the room heated up, the corridor outside, however was still very cold. When you have a guest staying would it not be possible to pre heat their room in the Winter months? My wife came down with a heavy cold after our stay which I am sure wasn't helped by our cold room. Apart from that we are very happy with The Bastion Hotel and would appreciate your feedback.

This was the second time we have stayed at your hotel in Geleen, we have also previously stayed at The Bastion in Heerlen but preferred this hotel as the hotel at Heerlen had a smell of smoke in the corridors. We had booked this hotel on a non refundable booking but we had to change our booking due to a wait to have Winter tyres fitted to our car in Germany. My wife rang your hotel and your very kind receptionist contacted your head office to change our booking for the next week which we very much appreciated. We ate in the restaurant and had a fantastic steak meal which was cooked by the receptionist, the meal was lovely and the receptionist was very warm and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again as we have a second home in Germany and regularly travel that route, in fact we are booking with you again for next week. It is a pity that you do not have a loyalty scheme for your patrons. Well done - great stopover hotel, thank you. Phil & Pam Walkington

Tijdens het ontbijt een omelet bakken, zorgt dat elke gast de hele dag naar bakvet ruikt. Ik zou dit in de keuken doen.
