September 1st till December 2nd 2014 construction work will be taking place between the Javalaan in Heemstede en the crossroads with the Van Heuven Goedhartlaan in Hoofddorp. We advise you to follow the diversion signs.

The hotel is easy to reach and is situated off the Hoofddorp ring road, about 10 minutes from the A4, junction 3. The cosy city of Hoofddorp is easy to reach and Schiphol airport is about 25 minutes from the hotel. The hotel offers free parking for its guests. This hotel is also conveniently situated for Amsterdam, the train journey from Schiphol to the city centre takes less than 25 minutes.
We offer a free shuttle service from and to Schiphol. Please inform at the hotel for the exact time schedule. The Bastion Hotels bus stop is situated at the taxi rank.

By car
From Rotterdam/The Hague:
Leave the motorway at junction Hoofddorp/Aalsmeer. Turn left at the traffic lights towards Heemstede. Turn right at the 4th traffic lights, junction Haarlemmermeersebos. The hotel is on the left.

From Schiphol/Amsterdam:
Leave the motorway at junction Hoofddorp/Aalsmeer. Turn left at the traffic lights towards Heemstede. Turn right at the 3rd traffic lights, junction Haarlemmermeersebos. The hotel is on the left.

By Public Transport
From Schiphol:
The bus station is opposite the terminal. Bus 174 to Haarlem departs every half-hour, from 05.50 a.m. to 00.20 a.m. Change to bus 140 and get off at bus stop Houtwijkerveld. Bus 52 to Noordwijk departs every half-hour, from 06.08 a.m. to 00.15 a.m. These buses also go to Hoofddorp.

To Hoofddorp Centre:
Take bus 140 to bus stop Houtwijkerveld, get off at bus stop Melis Spaansweg.

To Amsterdam Centre:
Take the shuttle or the bus to Schiphol and then take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. The train departs 6 times an hour during the day and once every hour after midnight. Bus tickets are available at the station, at Schiphol or in Hoofddorp.

Wat ik erg vervelend vond.
Erg lang op het eten gewacht met erg lange tussentijd
Toen we woensdag avond terugkeren geen shampoo en zeep wel licht op de kamer en de deur was los ochtends heb ik alles uitgedaan en afgesloten
Erg slordig!

Het hotel is fantastisch, zeer vriendelijk personeel ook in shuttle! Zelf zou ik kiezen voor aangenamer toiletpapier.
Volgens robert cialdini in zijn boek social influence krijg je mensen eenvoudig over de streep als je laat weten dat anderen bepaald gedrag vertonen. Zo haalt hij het voorbeeld aan van het hergebruik van handdoeken. Als een hotel keten op de bordjes ze dat de meeste mensen hun handdoeken hergebruiken is de kans op hergebruik aanzienlijk groter dan als er alleen vermeld staat dat het goed is voor het milieu. Wellicht interessant om eens mee te experimenteren.
Wij hadden bewust slechts 1 handdoek die vies was op de grond gelegd, echter werden alle handdoeken toch vervangen.

Prima verblijf, temperatuur restaurant mocht iets hoger evenals de muziek wat zachter en beter passend bij de omgeving.
Verder mogen er nog wat meer warme visgerechten op de kaart.

Voor avondeten en ontbijt, tafelschikking maken voor mensen die alleen zijn. klant van te voren vragen of hij alleen wilt zitten of graag samen met andere, gezien de hoeveelheid klanten die alleen zijn. Dit maakt het verblijf nog gezelliger en beter. verder was het Prima

We found that the bathroom was not as clean as it should be and dirty towels were not replaced. Also shampoo and shower products were not replaced each day (we stayed four nights). However we were able to procure these easily at reception.
Apart from this small detail we had an excellent stay here.
