The Vrienden of Amstel LIVE

Do you want to start the year with a bang? Then get ready for the 26th edition of the Vrienden van Amstel LIVE! Rotterdam Ahoy will once again be transformed into the largest pub in the Netherlands, where the best artists from Dutch soil come together. Sing along to all the hits, drink a nice Amstel beer and enjoy one of the no fewer than 14 shows in January 2024.

International Film Festival Rotterdam

For real film lovers, the International Film Festival Rotterdam is the place to be. For twelve days, both shorter and longer films from all corners of the world will be shown.   Many films premiere and can be seen in the Netherlands during the rest of the year. In addition to the many films, there are also all kinds of other events such as lectures, debates and talk shows. Thousands of national and international film professionals will be present! As a real film fan, do you have a front row seat to the latest films?

Midwinter Marathon

Is your new years resolution to exercise more? Participating in the oldest existing running event in the Netherlands is a good start! With no fewer than 6 different distances, there is something for everyone of the more than 14,500 participants. You can register until January 8, 2024, so be quick and prepare for an unforgettable experience.

Carnaval

From February 9 to 13 there will be plenty of parties and polonaises under the rivers! Carnaval is celebrated from the small villages to the large carnaval cities such as Oeteldonk, Lampegat and Kielegat. Nothing is too crazy at carnaval! Household fair
