Song Contest in The Netherlands
The Eurovision Song Contest was held on Dutch grounds for the last time in 1980. The Netherlands received the honor to organise the festival when Israël, the winning country in 1979, took a pass on hosting the event. 40 years ago, the festival took place in the Haagse Congresgebouw. After Duncan Laurence managed to win the festival with his song 'Arcade' in 2019, the Netherlands will be hosting again in 2020. Various cities were in the race to organise the festival, but Rotterdam was ultimately chosen as the definitive location for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020.
